The submission deadline for the SE Call 2024 ended on 5 February 2025. The Research Executive Agency (REA) received a total of 329 proposals. This represents an increase of 41 percent compared to the previous year. The proposals submitted involved 3,960 different organizations (27 percent from the non-academic sector) from 137 different countries. 12 applications were submitted by German organisations. It is expected that the European Union will fund between 100 and 110 projects with a total budget of 99.5 million euros. The results of the evaluation are expected in July 2025.
